CHATHAM โ Buckle up and take a ride through the countryside. The Chatham Agricultural Partnership and the Columbia Land Conservancy are excited to announce the 12th annual Chatham Area Farm Tour 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Sept. 24. Participants will have the opportunity to visit farms in the area who are opening their doors to the public to get a peek at the diverse face of farming in Northern Columbia County.
Kids excited to see farm animals? You’ll get the chance to see livestock like horses, cattle, chickens and more. Looking to fill up your fridge with local food? You’ll have the opportunity to support local farmers by purchasing produce, meats, wine and syrup. In addition, this year’s tour is co-sponsored by the Columbia Land Conservancy and visitors will learn about the important role the organization plays in the farmland of Columbia County.
